March Blog – Time to Celebrate!

MARCH – TIME TO CELEBRATE!

March is bursting with many birthdays of friends, family, and of course, me!  My sister Leslie and I are one year and two weeks apart, also known as “Irish twins”.  So, happy birthday to all our March babies!  I hope everyone celebrates in style!

This month heralds daylight savings time March 8th where we spring forward and set the clocks ahead.  On March 20th, the vernal equinox occurs as we welcome spring with warmer weather and longer daylight hours.  While the daffodils bloom, there is more to celebrate, with St. Patrick’s Day on March 17th, a fun holiday honoring leprechauns, four-leaf clovers, the wearing of the green, pints of green beer, and it’s never without those comforting foods – corned beef and cabbage.

The entire month of March is dedicated to Women’s History.  We recognize and highlight the achievements and roles of women in the past and present and look to empower future generations and inspire action.

So, no matter what you celebrate, I hope everyone takes some time for themselves and enjoys a good book, like The Fire She Set, which is available for purchase on Amazon or your favorite bookstore, to read on Kindle or listen to on Audible.
