Love Yourself

LOVE YOURSELF

If I were to color the month of February, it would be red and I would fill it with lots of love for ourselves and for others.  With Cupid shining brightly on February 14th delivering flowers, candies and other love tokens, it is an opportunity to rediscover who we are and to celebrate our own uniqueness, strengths and beautiful selves.

There are many ways to reconnect with your inner self.  Yoga and meditation create wonderful experiences for the body and soul; reading opens the mind to new possibilities.  Living in the moment and surprising someone with a random act of kindness expands the heart and reminds us that it is always better to give than receive.

My memoir, The Fire She Set, reminds me to love and forgive.  We cannot re-write or re-live our past, but we can triumph over the bad and the sad.

And, with sweet sorrow, I remember my son, Drew.  Happy Birthday!  On February 15th you would have been 36 years old.  You are forever in our hearts.
