January 2026 Blog – Happy New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

New Year’s Day dawns bright and sunny in southeast Idaho and it is a start of a new year; hello 2026!  For me, it is a time when the past, present and future seem to be in sync for one brief moment.  The memories of past years come flooding into my mind, shared with the magic of living in the present, and the overwhelming feeling of excitement and hope for making more wishes come true this year.

Oh, and what a year it is!  We are expecting our first grandchild in July, a boy, and he is a miracle child!  Due to modern medical technology, he will be born without Duchenne muscular dystrophy.  We are beyond grateful and cannot wait to meet  this much awaited miracle.  Many of our friends are also grandparents and several  more are expecting their first this year, too.  We feel honored to be part of this long time honored club, but also realize we are getting older!

So, thinking about time passing and living your dreams, we are committed to spending more quality time with family and focusing on good health, and no resolutions needed!  We are writing our bucket list starting with the Kentucky Derby in May with a tour of some stud farms and bourbon tasting to round out the experience.

I hope everyone lives out their dreams this year, and don’t forget to take time for yourself and enjoy a good book, like The Fire She Set, which is available to read in print or Kindle or listen to on Audible.
