Feeling Lucky

FEELING LUCKY

March is my green month and highlighted by the luck of the Irish as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with lots of beer and corn beef and cabbage.  Green shoots sprout from Mother Earth in an early sign of spring.  Brightly colored daffodils, tulips and crocus flowers give promise of warmer days and shorter nights.

It is also a special birthday month!  My sister, Les and I have March birthdays along with my partner, Jim and best friend Dale.  It’s actually a big birthday month and I remember celebrating as a child, with a themed party, a fancy cake and my favorite meal.  When mom was at her best, those fancy cakes were spectacular!  Les got an “Enchanted Castle Cake” one year – with Hershey bar windows and gumdrop battlements; other years included a rocking horse, butterfly and I’m pretty sure there was a lion for my cousin, Kimberly as she is a Leo!

The tradition continues to this day, without the fancy cakes!.

Since March is our lucky month, take on a special project or start a new hobby because you will be lucky and poised to succeed!  You can also start a garden and pay homage to Mother Nature, who will reward you kindly.  And, it is always a good time to read or listen to a good book – I highly recommend The Fire She Set!
