April Affirmation

I noticed a lot more publicity about Women’s History Month this year.  Maybe there was more news, or perhaps I was paying more attention.  It is empowering to read about strong, brave, smart and beautiful women who have illuminated paths for others who choose to follow and then themselves become leaders.

Yet, it’s not only women, but men too. Each of us can be leaders and mentors and share our experiences and our values.  Our currency is our reputation, and how we live defines us.  This month, I affirm our right to be more than what we are, and to celebrate our accomplishments, big and small.

So, today and every day, affirm your life, your hopes and your dreams.  And, don’t forget to read a good book.  I highly recommend The Fire She Set!
